Beaches

North Norfolk's beaches are superb whether it's winter or summer. There are miles of empty sands for walking or building that sandcastle with Junior!

Beaches of note include Holkham, Cromer, Overstrand, Mundesley, Happisburgh and Sea Palling.

Riding

Please ask us about stables suitable for beginners or the more advanced. There are numerous bridleways nearby.

Walking and Cycling

Green Farm is situated on the edge of the Quiet Lanes Project and is an excellent base for walkers and cyclists. Other routes to be enjoyed are the North Norfolk Coastal Path and the Weavers Way.

Golf

There are numerous courses within 30 minutes of Green Farm: Royal Cromer 4 Miles, Sheringham 7 Miles, Mundesley and West Runton both 5 miles and 9 holes, Wensum Valley Golf Club 17 miles, Marriot Sprowston Park 17 miles, Weston Park 20 miles, Royal Norwich 22 miles, Barnham Broom 28 miles and further afield Hunstanton and Brancaster. Green fee discounts are available at some courses and tee times can be arranged.

Fishing and Sea fishing

North Norfolk is a fisherman’s paradise with Course Carp Trout and sea fishing opportunities too numerous to mention. Please contact Green Farm for more details.

Shopping

The fine city of Norwich is half an hour by car with its fabulous shops, department stores and individual boutiques. The Georgian town of Holt is great for finding that special gift or for treating yourself amongst its many designer boutiques, while there are wonderful art galleries up and down the coast. Or visit Aylsham's weekly auction rooms and bag a bargain!

Theatre

The Theatre Royal in Norwich and Sheringham Little Theatre have an exciting and ever-changing programme of events.

Whatever time of year you visit, there is plenty to see and do in Norfolk. The relaxing pace of life, the stunning scenery and natural attractions makes North Norfolk the ideal tourist destination for those that just want to get away from it all.

Birdwatching

The coastal marshes at Cley and Blakeney and Morston, just 25 minutes from Green Farm, are internationally known for there wonderful variety of Turns, Waders and Geese. Further on, Titchwell is another favourite with our guests. The Norfolk Broads, especially Hickling Nature Reserve, is a must for the avid twitcher.

Steam Trains

Guests will enjoy the north Norfolk Railway from Sheringham to Holt and the Bure Valley narrow gauge Railway from Aylsham to Wroxham which can be linked to a boat trip on the Norfolk broads.
